The next tour started at 6:20am, I got woken up by the Italian at 6:10 and everyone was all ready downstairs, I dragged all my crap dowstairs, downed a few bacon sarnies and then got in the bus, still drunk, for the next bit of the tour.
This tour consisted mainly of seeing aboriginie art work which was pretty cool and amazing to think how old it was...should have included two massive waterfalls (but for our bus breaking down) and a cruise to see some crocs, these things were bloody massive.
The lst day we were supposed to see some waterfalls....after a few hours driving the driver pulled over to take a leak....realised we had hit a bird...ohh and that un-related to the dead bird splattered all over the side that our oil tank had split, oil being relocated all over the back wheels, undercarriage and generally everywhere! We were f-cked you may say...to top it off we didnt have a satellite phone but flagged down another tour about 5mins later who lent us theirs. The next people passing had heard we were stranded but hadnt heard why so they asked 'have you found anything' to which a dutch guy replied ' we have found a leak' - pretty funny in the situation! The problem couldnt be fixed... so we had to wait 4 hours for a replacement bus...Our guide in all her wisdom decided we should go on a walk...mid day ozzie sun 32 degrees, all not with much water = pretty dumb idea, but we did it nonetheless, found a natural spring etc and climbed over yet more rocks, worked out ok in the end.
Im now in Perth and have rented a camper van with Katherine and Leah two girls me and Garth met over crimbo in our hostel, and are going to drive up and down the west coast stopping wherever.
