We arrived into Cambodia from Thailand by bus. Well they called it a bus! It didn't even have a dashboard never mind enough seats! It took 12 hrs including the border crossing, which we were told to expect to be ripped off again. But for some strange reason we sailed through without paying extra for this and that.
