We left Ellenbrae Station this morning and travelled the 100 klms to Home Valley Station. We arrived just before lunch. The short trip was not a lot of fun as some cars traveling from the other end of the Gibb River Road we're just in the early stages of their trip and roared past us at a rate of knots. One of these managed to flick up a stone and we now have a chip in the new windscreen that had been fitted in Alice Springs. Also for the last 30 or so klms we were following another car and trailer that was only going 50klms an hour and we collected all his dust and felt every bump in the road.
Steve had been talking this morning to a lovely couple from Greystanes who own an off road caravan and they are also camped near us tonight. They ended up coming over to our van this afternoon and we were having a good chat.
Home Valley Station is a fairly large complex on a large working cattle station and also has an onsite training academy for local indigenous people.
