Hello.....

Day 1

Well we arrived in Cairns after a 1 and half bus journey, i muct admit i was pleased it was so short!! I was still on a high from White Water Rafting and i was excited about going to Cairns! We had heard mixed things about Cairns that friend had told us. But as soon as we arrived here we loved it. It was a small Syndey, wasn't as busy, with good shops (surf shops!!) and pubs!! After a 10min walk to our Hostel, Shenanigans we dumped our bags and headed straght for the Lagoon. We got told it was a great spot so thought we best go and check it out!! We got there, without getting lost i might add and people were right it was lovely!! After about 20mins of sunbathing Simon and Sam found us. We were well excited to see them, it was really weird seeing people from back from back home. We chatted to them for ages catching up on all the gossip and places to go. That day they had booked Fraser Island etc and got tickets for 10 doller meal for us and them at The WoolShed. We were going to stay in and cool but this deal was too good to be true so we headed to the pub to meet them and their frineds for a meal. We were well impressed we gpt a pint, a meal and a dessert forabout 4.50 our money......it was a right bargin!! And it was well nice going out with everyone!! And the food was lovely!! After leaving them we went for a jug of beer each at our hostel, as we were residents we got it cheap, so thought why not!! After beers we went to bed in our 8 bed dorm which was freezing, the aircon was on all night. Claire had to move beds cause she was right in front of it.

Day 2

So yesterday we went on a shopping spree!! We were eager to take a look at the surf shops.......unfortunetly i didnt buy anything!!! The shops were good though!! At about 1pm we meet Claires Mum and Dads friends son James who has now moved out here. He was really nice he took us to Crystal Cascades which was a nice, here we chilled out by the water. It was nice finding out all the places to go while we were here! After here we went to a lookout point which you could see the whole of Cairns from, it was amazing and of course a photo oppurtunity!! After going to the llokout James dropped us off at a big shopping centre which was literally a two min walk from our hostel! After looking around there for a bit we then went and got showered, cooked and then went to the cinema to watch 27 Desses. It was an awesome film i also had tears at the end of it!! :-) Trust me!! After the cinema we just headed back to out hostel and had book club.

Day 3

So today Claire and Loz had a lie in, again i couldn't i woke up at 9.30am so i went and chilled out in the TV room, had breakfast and read my book. Claire rose at about 11am and Loz finally got up at 12!! We showered and then headed straght for the Lagoon as it was nice day.....36degress in fact!! Claire went and shopped while me and Loz chilled out listening to music and occasionally dipping in the pool!! After the Lagoon me and Loz went for ajug of beer......it was hot so it would have been rude not too!! We also bumped in to Kate and Sarah which was nice, we had a quick gossip and arranged to meet them for a drink at Gilligans (another hostel) to catch up properly before we leave for Cairns!! And now im sitting here at 5.30pm typing this!!! Were not luoking forward to out 3.30am alarm though in the morning, we have to be at the airport for 4am and then were flying off to New Zeland at 5.30am........... not looking forward to that!!

We have had an amazing 6weeks in Australia and we have met some awsome people along the way.....its crazy i can't belive our trip is nearly over, these next 6weeks are going to go so fast.

New Zeland had better watch out though cause here we come!!! :-)
