Day One - Valentine Day

So today we woke up at 8.30am with a major hangover….in fact I think I was still drunk!We all had to rush and pack up all our stuff in the room as the bus was leaving at 9am, our room was a complete state.I just shoved everything in my backpack and we just made it down to the bus!!Today we were off to River Valley, a remote lodge in the middle of no where.Everyone on the bus was so hungover, we couldn't believe we had a done a Skydive the day before!The bus journey was going fine until we got to Spooners Hill, the bus broke down!We were gutted all we wanted to do was get to River Valley and chill out.We were there for over two hours before the mechanic came and then he couldn't fix it so a new bus had to come and take us the rest of the way.We entertained ourselves by playing Rugby, having wheel barrel races and sunbathing!When we finally got there at 7pm we had dinner straight away which was a lovely chicken dinner - It was so romantic having a big girlie meal!!.We were all so hungry, we polished off all the food.The place was awesome it was in the middle of no where with a lake, spa and bar.It was so peaceful we were all gutted we had got there so late.After dinner we had a couple of drinks and had an early'ish night.But before we went to bed we decided to play a prank on Paddy, T and John.We went into there room took all their masresses of their beds and put them underneath the beds.It was hilarious!We then got into bed and waited for the reaction.After about 15mins the boys came back.They came straight to our room and tried to get in but we wouldn't let them in.The next minute Paddy was had got in through our window and soaked us all, we were drenched as well as Claire's bed!!It was well funny!!After we had finally got dry we went to bed- we were finally getting a lie in till 9am!

Day Two (15th Feb)

Two day Hangover!!

Today we made our way up to Wellington, the Capital City.It was a 5hour drive up there so we got there at 5pm, so we showered, and headed straight out for food and drink.As this was our only night in Wellington we decided to have a big night out on the town!!Originally we were going to stay here for 4days leaving out bus and catching another one but we had made so many good friends and Lauren was aeswomw we decided to stay with them all the way up to Queenstown!We stayed in Base our hostel bar for hours as it was cheap and then headed to the Irish Bar.It was a really good night but we had a few to many Jagger Bombs again….!!We eneded up getting back in at 3.30am and we had to be up for 6.45am!

Day Three

Woke up feeling very tired, was not good, everyone was still drunk when they got on the bus and Shane and Paddy 2 only got in at 7am so they just literally walked onto the bus!! Today we had to get the ferry to go down South.It was a huge Ferry having cinemas in it and everything.We all just found a big space and had breakfast and chilled out watching all of our Skydiving DVD's on Lauren's laptop.We got off the ferry ay 12.30pm.Departing Picton we then headed to a The Village for a free wine tasting of NZ wines.They were really nice but I think it made a few people drunk again!! J After lunch we then carried onto Nelson where were staying for the night.We stayed the night at Posh Backpackers, it was a really nice place.We just stayed in had another cooked dinner and drank with the overload bus.

Day Four

After checking out we headed towards Nelson Lakes National Park.We parked up and looked at the views of the stunning Lake Rotoito, which was surrounded by beautiful snow mountains.The picturs were amazing.Here we stopped off for a picnic before departing for our destination Westport.At Westport we had a choce of Horse Riding, Jet Boat or Quad Biking. Loz, Claire and the other guys did the Jet Boat while me and Emma and Linda decided to do Horse Riding, it was a right laugh, I was so scared when I got on the horse!! First we just walked and then we trotted and cantered through native bush and streams, it was lovely!!Jess will be impressed I cantered, I don't know how she does it though, it really hurt my hands and my legs!!Emma was so funny when we were riding, she was petrified when we went fast, I can't repeat some of the things that was coming out of her mouth!! Linda also fell off her's, while we were cantering her horse decide to jump over a pundle intead of going through it, bless her! After riding we then headed to our Hostel which was a giant house, it was really nice.We cooked dinner and then went out for a quite night.Yet again though we all got very drunk having to many Jagger Bombs!Me and Emma also got into Laurens and Smiley's house (Smiley is off the other overload bus) where we stole 6 of his t-shirts which we wore the next day.We did this as he had pulled Emma's trouser down in front of the bus the day before!It was so funny he was impressed we managed to get in the house through the window. Lauren also found it hilarious!!

Day Five

We left Nelson early to go to Nelson Lakes, it was beautiful. Claire and the other guys went for a nice senic walk while me and loz sunbathed and played Rugby. After our Picnic we travelled to Lake Maninapua. Here we were staying in the middle of no where again at this hotel called Poo Pub which was run by a 83year old man. Apparently only the Kiwi buses go there and they are there every night. On the way to Lake Maninapua we stopped off in GreyMouth to get costumes as we were having a 'No Clothes Party'. We decided to go as Mummies so we brough sheets and fake blood. We got to Lake Maninapua and Claire and Emma decided to take revenge on Smiley again, he stupidly left his bus open so they got toilet roll and covered the bus with it, however they got caught and he ran and locked them on the bus for about 30 minutes. Claire really needed to pee and he was threatening to steal all of our rucksacks so they cleaned it up and eventually got out! After those antics we had a food, whioch was cooked by Les (83yr Old) and the Smiley ad Lauren, we had steak, salad, pasta everything, it was really nice considering they were cooking for a 100 people! After dinner we went to get ready, our outfits however didn't work as the material keep falling down, so in the end we decided to call ourseleves patients! Everyone had made a real effort wotht there costumes it was awesome to see everyone dressed up. It was an quality night, as you can imagaine it was very messy, the girls also won 9-3 at flippy cup!! :-) We ended up going to bed about 4am having to climb through the windown on to our bunks as we had lost out key! Was rather hard in a short hand made skirt!! We woke up the following morning at 8am with hangovers, our room was a state yet again and we had to pack up!! Sharing with Emma, Linda and Niamh is funny as they are as messy as us! When we eventually packed up we got on the bus and set off for Franz Joseph. That night was awesome, Les bless him was lovely he cooked all the steaks and then served on the bar till 3am!!
