Ok so we stayed another night at Kate's house, we just chilled out, catched up on gossip and had an early night!

Day 1

We left Auckland on Thursday 7th Feburary catching the bus at the Kiwi office. And we headed to the top of Maungawhau (Mt Eden), apparently this is the best spotin Auckland to get a 360 degree view of Auckland City. The view was amazing and it was a lovely day so we got some really good pictures! After looking at the views we made a breif stop in a small town called the Thames to have lunch. After lunch we then headed to Hot Water Beach. When the tide is right you can dig a hole on the beach near the thermal outlet and soak in hot water. Unfortunetly we got there a little too late for this so instead me and Claire decided to bury Loz in the sand 'Joey' style. (like off Friends when he is buried in the sand with huge boobs!) We have been wanting to do this for ages and since we couldn't do the Hot Water Pool we thought it was a great oppurtunity to do it!! It was well funny making her have big boobs, she loved it!! We did say she could have some of ours if she liked!! :-) After having fun in the sand we then sunbathed for abit and then headed off to Mercury Bay where we stayed in a new Family run hostel. This was one of the best hostels we have stayed at. It was really clean and we had an outside area with a decking and a pool table. That night we just chilled out, cooked dinner and watched DVD's ready for our 7am wake up call!
