We stopped in Madrid for the day while we wait for our train to Granada this evening. Lucky for us, October 12th is a national holiday, so people are out in full force with flags draped around them, a full on military display in the sky, streets closed off, etc. Oh, and the museums are all free! Fabulous for the traveler on a budget. I figured I´d stop in and upload some photos while I rest my feet, since I can´t find a metro stop for the life of me...

I knew within an hour of setting foot in Lisbon that I was going to love it. Weird, but my mood changed from melancholy to overwhelming happiness and contentment. The vibe here is amazing. Nothing feels rushed; the town shows it's age but embraces it in a perfect way. Ok Ok, so we haven't seen any fanatical bull running yet, but the picture seemed like a classic entrance into writing about Spain. As mentioned, we headed on the overnight train to San Sebastian, Spain, right on the northern coast about an hour north of Pamplona and an hour or so west of the France border. We've decided to leave Paris tonight on a night train destined for San Sebastian, Spain. Jessie's brother is studying in Oviedo but is taking a weekend trip to San Sebastian, so Jessie figured it would make sense for us to meet him there. Sounds like a lovely coastal town!

Ahh, tourist heaven. At least it was today at Notre Dame. Haven't heard that much American English spoken in over a month. It was crazy.
