I moved to Punta Del Este, a really nice sea side resort (apparently quite exclusive in high season - the place where many Portenos (people from Buenos Aires) choose to spend their holidays). However as it is the end of April the weather is changing and I was hitting the low season - I got there in the afternoon and the weather was scorching so I went for a really nice walk along the beach. I was really looking forward to spending the next day at the beach and maybe getting a swim. The next day the weather was terrible, it poured rain all day, cue a day sitting in the hostel watching films on my laptop - which was no bad thing - to be honest I'd achieved everything I'd hoped to do on my trip and was just passing the time until my flight to New Zealand!
The following day was slightly better - good enough to allow me to walk around the town but not really good enough to spend it at the beach. I elected to head back to Buenos Aires (I toyed with visiting an amazing sounding remote beach - but figured it wasn't worth the hassle or money if the weather might be crap). So on my last day in Punta Del Este the scorching weather returned and I did manage to spend some time on the beach before returning to BA on and overnight bus/ferry!
