I headed to Uruguay on Sunday the 17th, I was definitely in the mood just to take it easy. I was adjusting to life alone again, missing my friends and worried about money so I just took it easy. I arrived into Montevideo and did very little on the first evening other than go out for dinner. Montevideo was a stark contrast to Buenos Aires - it has a population of 1.5 million (apparently) but they were nowhere to be seen! It was refreshing to be in such a quiet, laid back city after coming from BA. My second day in Montevideo I went for a wander, it was a very nice city on the coast so I walked to the beach and walked around the city and then just chilled out back at the hostel! I was looking forward to getting to the proper beaches the following day and relaxing with my book and some music! One other thing, Uruguay is green - it's not something I was really aware of but I don't think I'd travelled through green scenery in months but as soon as I got on the bus in Uruguay everything was green!
