Day 156 - Wednesday 4th August
Took a river tour down the River Dulce past colonial forts, huge lilypad fields and thermal baths down to the alternative town of Livingston. A stark contrast to the rest of Guatemala, it's home to old pirates and the like, ejected from Roatan in Honduras. Everyone speaks English and it has a distinct laid back fill. Mainland but only connected by boar, it's very cool and chilled out.
Day 157 - Thursday 5th August
Helga had decided to head back down to the capital to do some more charity work (I have no time for charity ha) we said our early goodbyes and I took a couple of boats to end up in the very south of Belize. Took a LONG bus up to Belize City (a bit of dump) and having missed the last boat, settled in for the night in a friendly family motel with another takeaway.
