Day 105 to 110
We have stayed in 2 places in Phuket - we stayed in Kata for the first to nights (a smallish beach town) which was nice and then 2 nights in patong (which is really touristy and home to the famous Bangala road!) the weathers been boiling! So we have spent most of our time on the beach and mooching round the shops! We had a massive shopping centre in patong (like the Trafford centre) which was fab!
Tomorrow we head to Chaing Mai and we can't wait!! Although we will miss the lovely beaches and crystal clear sea we are ready for a change and really looking forward to seeing Chaing mai! We are staying in the old town for our first 3 nights and then near the night Bazaar (bars, nightlife etc) for our last 3 nights so we get the best of both worlds! We also visit the elephant sanctuary on the 25th which I think is next Thursday and can't wait for that! It's also nice to be flying to chaing mai and not having to sit on a long boat or coach journey for hours!
Sam and Jess left us on Tuesday and I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly disappointed that we weren't flying home with them! Miss you all so much! But we're still plodding on and really looking forward to seeing Chaing Mai, it looks beautiful!
Not much else to report really! Jakes had a dodgey stomach today so has had to take some Imodium and he enjoyed a very English meal for tea tonight - a club sandwich!! It looked delicious! We can't wait for some English food! Phuket has also been much more expensive - I think it's because it's more touristy! (when I say expensive I mean more like a £3 a meal rather than £1.50!) but still double the price compared to what we're used to! But chaing mai is supposed to be much cheaper so we are looking forward to that! (We're doing fine money wise it's more that we've just become more stingy! Haha)
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Lots of love xxxxx

Maurice and Margaret lloyd Lot to see and do in Chaing Mai. I've googled it. 300 temples and the elephant sanctuary. Hope the Immodium worked. They can block up volcanoes. Your car should be ready for 1 Feb. Got to tax it again and insure it. Running ok. See you soon. xxx
