Day 92-96
Well I am writing this Very sunburnt and tomato like after a full day in the sun without sun cream! (Note to self: never again think your to tanned for suncream because your not)
We have stayed in 2 different places whilst in Koh Phangan! We spent Our first 2 nights in Haad Rin which was basically as party place full of bars, restaurants and shops selling flower headbands and fluorescent clothing for the full moon parties which happen at the beach on every full moon! We went to the full moon party on 2nd Jan and it was amazing! However the apparently 'Smirnoff' vodka was definitely NOT Smirnoff and tasted awful!! but it still went down just the same! Lol! The party went on for miles and miles down the beach which was fab! There were lots of dangerous activities like a skipping rope which was on fire and you had to jump through and over it and a limbo game in which the bar you limbo'd under was a flame! Can you imagine thousands of smashed people thinking these are a good idea!!! I couldn't even watch!! (However I am the definition of the fun police) but it's still dangerous!! Haha Sam jakes friend did it a succeeded thank god! Although me and Jess went mad afterwards (luckily jakes a good egg and knew better than to have a go)!
We had a nice hotel for both nights in Haad Rin though so that was nice although we had a trauma as jake thought we had already paid for it and on arrival they asked for payment - after arguing with them for over half an hour on the verge of tears that they were trying to double charge us (were talking £200!) we spoke to the Barclays who confirmed that we had only paid once and it was our mistake as we ticked off the wrong hotel on the spread sheet! It was very embarrassing when I had to go back and say 'I'm really sorry my mistake' haha! From that moment on I think they hated us!
We then travelled to Haad Yao where we have stayed in a lovely beach resort for our last 2 nights! It's been very peaceful in comparison to Haad Rin! Our 'garden hut' Isn't amazing and I nearly had a meltdown but we have hardly been in the room since arriving so it's fine and when it cost about £50 for 2 nights I suppose I can't really complain! We have been right on the beach too so spent our time sunbathing and strolling the beach! Today has been boiling and I probably should of worn sun cream but I was like 'no no i don't need it I'll go brown not red' as usual I was wrong and now I'm caked in aftersun wearing the loosest clothing possible so it doesn't touch it! Haha jakes a nice golden brown as usual and unfortunately for me I take after my dad and go bright red before going back white!! Our tea tonight has been gorgeous! We found a beach BBQ restaurant and treated ourselves to a chicken skewer/Kabab with salad and rice and it was amazing! (Chicken, well meat in general is expensive over here in comparison to the egg fried rice or a vegetable pad Thai for example but we have been dying for some chicken!)
Tomorrow we travel to Krabi (a few bus trips and a ferry) which will take about 8 hours! We are getting picked up at 6am and will arrive around 1:30 pm all being well!
It's much easier being away from home now Christmas is over and everyone's back in work (don't worry I think of you all whilst relaxing on the beach or sunbathing round the pool)! Haha! I am still missing you all though!
I don't think there's anything else to report really - i found some bran flakes in the shop which I'm buzzing over and have for breckie each morning!
Lots of love and hugs xxxxxx

Maurice and Margaret Nice to talk to you both at the weekend and hear first hand about your adventures. You seem to have acquired a taste for Thai food. We will have to go to the Thai restaurant in Stockton Heath on you return. You can recommend what dishes that might suit us. XXX
