It was a short drive to Islamorado on the next key south of Key Largo. We had a nice little bungalow for the next couple of nights.

The name Islamorada (Original meaning: "Island Home"), newly nicknamed, "The Purple Isle," came from early Spanish explorers in the area. It is pronunced "Is-La-Moh-Ra-Da."

We headed out to dinner the weather was turning for the worse, lots of thunder and lighting plus some water funnels...three in fact! It was crazy to see! As long as it stayed out at sea rather than on the land!

I've been enjoying indulging in all the lovely fresh fish that is being served here! I haven't had anything than fish for dinner since landing in Florida!

I took my parents out sea kayaking, which was amusing! Mum could do a great circle over and over and over again!

We had an enjoyable time relaxing around the beach and pool and going to all the cute little gift shops around the area. I have brought way too much as normal!
