Continued... We exited the plane and headed through customs, I was nervous! I got asked a few questions but nothing to serious. He then told me I had to go through a second lot of security to get my actual visa. Oh poop! I got asked a fair few questions, but nothing about if I have insurance or how much money I had in my bank. Just asked if I was staying a year and if I had a job and thats it!
Visa granted Woohoo! Stu however took 40 more minutes to finish! I was in almost sheer panic! Apparently the lady he had must be new as she couldn't understand how Stu got a visa for a minimal paid job, until someone finally mentioned Stu had a working holiday visa! Confusion over!
Our bags were still on the baggage claim which had stopped moving it took us that long to get through! We grabbed some money out of the ATM and headed towards the first taxi. Luckily he had a bungee cord so our snowboard bag was half hanging out but secure!
We had a 30 minute journey to our hostel in downtown Toronto. It has changed a hell of a lot in four years! Lots more office blocks and apartments! Its insane! We finally arrived at our hostel which hasn't changed at all in four years and we dumped our stuff before we went out looking for food.
We headed to Jack Astors sports bar and Stu had a burger and I had buffalo wings and a Bud to wash it down and celebrate finally arriving in Canada!
We headed back to the hostel as we were both tired and have been up for about 20 hours including all the time differences!

We didn't wake up too early, but we both enjoyed a long awaited shower and grabbed some breakfast downstairs. Our first mission was to sort out our plan and transportation for the next two weeks.
We walked down towards the greyhound bus terminal to get our bus tickets but it was a lot cheaper online and we can pay for our extra baggage when we come to pick up the tickets. We headed back to the hostel so we could book all of this up. We booked all four of our buses and all of our hostels/hotels so we didn't have to worry about anything now!
Stu was hungry so we headed to downtown Toronto and grabbed a hot dog from one of the stalls. They are so tasty! I filled mine full of hot peppers and relish!
We had a nosey inside the shopping mall and exchanged the last of our Icelandic Korna before we decided to go for a walk along the water front.
It was a really warm day, and it seemed the whole of Toronto were doing the same thing as we were. Luckily we weren't heading towards Toronto island as the queue for the ferries was enormous!
We walked back round past the Blue Jay stadium which had an invasion of fans heading there for the game!
We headed towards Hooters where we had decided to have dinner there again! It wasn't all you can eat chicken wings, but we did get 20 wings which is surprisingly a lot actually! We had some for lunch tomorrow packed up in a doggie bag! One of the girls serving us was actually from Australia, Townsville in fact. She didn't sound actually sound Australian at first until she said Australia, Queensland and Townsville. She also had a Hawthorn scarf on who won the AFL grand slam yesterday. Which I thought was odd as she said she's never been to Melbourne!!!
We went to the hostel via the supermarket to grab some breakfast and lunch for our bus journey from Toronto to Montreal via a change at Ottawa! Stu was doing his usual walking around going 'oh my god it so cheap!' better than his 'oh god its too expensive'!!
We headed back to the hostel where we tried to sleep ready for our 4 am wake up call, but it didn't work to well for me and didn't fall asleep till gone 12! This will be a fun bus journey tomorrow!
