Segue from 1st blog entry
It's roughly 4 weeks since we departed for this partially tropical, fantastically green and pleasant (south is) land. Our time has been hugely biased towards doing things rather than spent on blogging, I'm sure you'll agree that this is the right way round but it's left us feeling we've neglected our audience a little so I rose early on Easter day (comparisons with Jesus purely coincidental) to do some writing. What this is not going to be is a blow by blow account of the last 4 weeks as at the ripe old age of 36 my memory isn't that great and it will probably be as dull as dish water for you so I've put together a few observations and memories of the last 4 weeks. Just in case you wanted to know where we've been, here is a rough idea of our journey so far:
From Christchurch we went across Arthur's Pass to the west coast stopping in the Pass for a few days, from there we worked our way south via a couple of stops on the coast, we then came back inland slightly and stopped for a few days in a lovely place called Wanaka (on a massive lake of the same name), from there we headed to adrenaline capital of NZ, Queenstown via Cardrona, Arrowtown and Glenorchy and now to here in Te Anau in Fiordland. Next blogs will feature kayaking on Milford and Doubtful Sound and hopefully walking the Kepler track .
