Had an absolutely brilliant time in Hamilton with the Mclellans. Was so good to have a bit of home comfort again before travelling off on my adventures again. They treated me really well, had a lovely birthday dinner out and Rosalind made a nice desert and we had champage :)
So now I've moved on and I'm in Taupo. It's lovely here. Yesterday, I did the best thing I have done since being away...A SKYDIVE! It was amazing. I can't even describe how awesome it was. Thanks to Lian for the birthday present!!! The night before I barely slept, I was so terrified! Annoyingly, once we got to the airport, I wasn't in the first group of people to jump, so I had to nervously wait for my turn! It didn't really hit me untill we got into the plane and slowly got higher and higher...I was actually shaking and the tandem master jokingly said that he'll blame it on the cold and not the nerves! So we hit 15,000ft and the door slid open....quicker than I expected, everyone was out the plane! I was the third to go...got my feet over the edge, had my exit photo and we were gone!! I hated the initial few seconds of the falling feeling!!!!!! But then we stablised and it was awesome!! We had another person jump with us who was filming and taking photos of the whole experience..I tried to concentrate on the views around cos it was actually gorgeous! After a while of screaming and enjoyment I realised I was struggling to breathe, so had to stop! (If you see my photos on facebook, you can see the moment where I am actually having difficulty to breathe!!)
So for the rest of yesterday, I was on such a high! Definitely reccomend doing it, I was so proud of myself!! I got photos and a DVD of the whole experience, so I'm sure everyone will see it at some point!
So I'm not sure how long I'm here for, but a girl I met in Sydney is coming here on Friday, so I'm sure I will meet up with her, then head to Wellington for a few days, before I get my ferry to Picton and see the wonders of New Zealand's South Island!
