Up at and out for 8am to catch our reef cruise on Reef Magic. A nice and pretty uneventful cruise out to the pontoon. David and I signed up for an intro dive and so when we arrived David popped off to get ready. I changed the girls into their swimsuits and we hired lycra ones for them as it is stinger season. It did look a little like the Spurways do the blue men, or red in their case.
The girls and I pottered around the kiddy area which they loved. David went for his dive which appeared to go very well. I then went for mine which took me some time to cope with and I did feel pretty uncomfortable with it all. The reef and coral were really good but I felt I have seen better elsewhere. The huge Maori fish was incredibly friendly and kept exploring round us, we actually think he has made friends with the photographer. When I came up we all had lunch before we took the girls for a swim in the main water. We togged up with buoyancy before we did so, so we were nice and safe. Elizabeth loved floating around without her goggles which we then lost as they fell off when I was keeping control of her. She fortunately saw some fish as they came up to the surface and she was happy.
Alex is a water baby and just loved swimming and even managed to do some snorkling so she could look at the fish.
We are all tired tonight and are ready for our beds pretty early.
