My contiki tour continues. From rockhampton we then travelled on to airlie beach where most of the group took the ferry over to long island, but myself and 6 others picked up a sail boat. We sailed the whitsundays for 2 nights. We had great fun, the boat was quite choppy, and none of us were able to handle it when we were moving and inside for too long. whe the sail was up the whole boat ended up leaning right on its side. we had 3 meals a day provided, we just had to take our own drink, so we did just that! We got to visit white haven beach which was absolutely beautiful. When getting off the sail boat we had to get into a dingy with our bags, not very easy, I managed to slip, and landed on something hard, so ended up with a rather nice bruise on my bum!After 2 nights we met up with the rest of the group on long island, where the partying continued, that night we had a hawaian theme, and we all dressed up in beach wear. We left long island the next day for cairns and arrived later that night. And thats where i have been ever since. As you can imaging the partying continued every night until the whole dispanded. up here in Cairns i have visited Cape Tribulation and stood with one foot in the barrier reef national park and and one foot in the rainforest national park. I went on a cruise up the daintree river, went corcodile spotting, and even saw a baby crocodile on the edge. We also went out on the barrier reef for a day and got to see a couple of sea turtles - wow. I stayed on in the resort which has been amazing. I am off to brisbane on wednesday and then to Bundaburg on sat to start my new job. I am desperately trying to get my photos downlaoded on tot his site but every computer i go on wont let me do, but wathc this space. Had best go for now as got to get the free shuttle bus back to the resort. Bye sharon
