We stayed in Tongariro on Thursday night and Friday morning we continues our journey to Wellington via the national park. The park was where the Mordor and Mount Doom scenes were filmed in LOTR at Mt Ruapehu and Mt Ngauruhoe. It would have been lovely to see them however it was really foggy and rainy!

We arrived in Wellington in the afternoon and got ready for our night out! We had a few drinks in the campervan before going to meet Jenny & Kate at their hostel. We had a few drinks in there before we went to a club. Jenny and Russ from the Kiwi bus came with us and we had a good night!

The next morning feeling slightly worse for wear Cazza and I got up and headed into Wellington town centre. After a look round the shops we headed to the parliament bulidings and went on a guided tour. We again had an interesting tour guide by the name of Megan! After we went back to the campervan via the Quayside. We were early back so we went into Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum. It would have been good to spend a lot longer than we did in the museum as it was very interesting!

We then drove to Hutt Valley to a campsite and booked our ferry for the next day to the south island.
