Kids got up just after 8am & went downstairs for breakfast (fruit salad (J); fried egg + tortilla (M)). D made eggs & frijoles, & then we were told that Lorainna was coming round with more food for breakfast (spicy tacos)!

After breakfast, Susana phoned the Cuban embassy to find out the procedure for obtaining our travel cards, & also contacted the local school, to ask if J&M could attend (bilingual) classes for a couple of days. Once the kids had gone to school, D wrote up the diary & blog, & L studied for a couple of hours.

All too quickly, it was time to pick the kids up from school. They returned home, & excitedly told us about the new friends that they had made, & the things that they had done at school (well, J did!). D&L used the stock from the chicken carcasses to make onion soup, which we all ate for tea, with garlic bread - delicious!
