We had to force ourselves out of bed at 9.15 and be at the Plaza de España by 10.15am - a bit of a rush. We were getting a bus to Toledo, a town about an hour drive away from Madrid. Happy birthday dad! We dragged ourselves out of bed at 9.15 and had a leisurely breakfast as well as some research and booking of our next destinations. It takes so long! Then we joined the free walking tour crowd. The temperature today has been more bearable, not impossibly hot like it would have been midday yesterday. So, we eventually arrived after a 3 hour delay in our flight. It didn't dampen our spirits too much and Nicola was very content with the £5 meal voucher we each received to apologise for the inconvenience. Our hostel is in a great location, very central. This trip I have been forced to change platforms, as travelpod has shut down sadly. I spent the whole car journey to the airport deciding on the best app/website to use, hopefully this app will help me create the same sort of blogs I could during my other trips. We will be taking off at 10.40am with a destination of Madrid. The next few days we will explore Madrid and decide our next destination.
