Today we woke up for Breakfast at 730am and on the Bus at 900am, It was about 60 minutes to our First Destination which again was Far out in a Remote Area in the Cane Fields. Don Carlos Spoke on the bus and shared the Story behind the Greatest Journey and what it is and how it effects the Kids and there families.
This was an Amazing Story to Here how god works thru the Shoe Boxes with the Children. They Really need prayer to Find more Team Member's( Volunteers to help them get the shoe boxes out and work with the Children thru Graduating thru the greatest journey. He walked us thru from when the Shoe Boxes arrive in Costa Rica the Flow on How the Shoe Boxes arrive, How they choose which schools and churches get the shoe boxes.
They really need lot's of Prayer for Costa Rica that God will work Miracles.
We then arrived at our First Distribution for the day, it was located amongst the Cane Fields and we could see all the Farmer's working the Fields and Crops, It was Really Cool to see the Trackter Processing the Cane Fields and how they Burn the Fields Process the Cane sugar and then Prepare the fields for the Next harvest.
They can really use the Prayer that they will have a bountifull Harvest. When we arrived at the school the Principal shared and explained the Story and Situation of the Community.
This Really tugged at our hearts and this is a Distribution that Really needs the Power of prayer to work miracles in this community. Some of the things she shared is the family working the fields make a $25usd Income per week and out iof this they have to pay for everything Rent/Housing, Food, Clothing all the bare neccesities.
Also the Children Get 1 Meal per day that is cooked at the School and only Mon-Friday, This is supplied by the Government. On the weekends the Kids do not eat all they have to eat is the Cane Sugar. They barely have $$ to be able to feed there families and put clothes on their backs.
You could see most of the Team very emotional, Ken actually broke down and Cried, getting very emotional that Sophia had to come and Console him.
We all ended up playing with the kids, Craig played Soccer and the rest of the Team did either the TOMS shoes, Face Painting, Nails, Tattoo's. Giving out the Shoe boxes to these children was pretty cool to watch and how excited they got.
Once we were finished we proceeded to Lunch which was about 10-15 minutes away, IT was a fantastic Awesome View, They served us Fish, Mashed Potatoes, plantann and mixed veggies as well as Fruit Smoothies.
After Lunch we proceeded to our last distribution, this was crazy there was around 80+ kids our biggest distribution yet. We had all the stations setup and they were all super busy.
Then we proceeded to the Presentation for the kids and the whole Team got up on the stage and were singing and dancing. It was amazing to watch the kids behaving and listening to the whole story and playing along with the songs. The team then handed out the shoe boxes there was 2-4 kids/5-9 and 10-14. It was awesome watching the reactions to the kids faces when they opened the shoe boxes.
After we were done we stayed behind cleaned up and went and had some refreshments and prayed for the Teachers of the school.
The pastor in the community that helped organized this distribution took us over and showed us there Church and the Story of there Journey on how they got the Location.
We ask for Prayer here that you will ask God to guide and help this church grow.
We then headed back to the guesthouse and arrived pretty late at 700pm and had dinner, it was a night off and the team retired for the night.
Tommorow is a 715am Morning.....
.......God Bless
