Great stuff, Anthony! You're excelling yourselves as tale-tellers, all of you. But the latest post card and photo album seem to have a life of their own? A first version of your postcard had a dateline Monday 29th August from Celata Olivia then, by the time I'd travelled home, three or four hours later, I read: dateline Monday 29th August from Pucon. I know you've got a lot of ground to cover - but 1,300 miles in a day is maybe overdoing it ("not with me at the wheel" says Emlyn). The great detective, Sherlock Holmes, would smell a rat or a llama. Where are you now? And somebody has been re-ordering the very telling photos - which helps piece your story together better for the stay-at-homes. Good thinking. I particularly liked the sound of the Belfast sandwich, Anthony. You can't escape from Ireland, can you - it tends to crop up everywhere. Pity the Irish pub in Santiago let you down on the night of the England-Denmark match. But maybe just as well you didn't see it - it might have driven you to even more Pisco Sours. Glad the boys allowed Bree time to buy some clothes in Santiago after restricting her sleeping quarters to the back of the car. Emlyn lacking dancing skills? Mary Hare said he'd have got an A* if there'd been an exam for it. And, so, over the Andes now? Where to - Pategonia? - 'a land for adventurous souls who like windy, barren expanses of flat bleakness, with some of the most fantastic mountain scenery in the world, including awe-inspiring glaciers and resplendent waterways etc etc..' Butch Kassidy and the Sundance Kid country. Wish we were there too! Keep up the postcards and the photos - they're great - and 'bon retour'. You're only 2,000 miles from Buenos Aires.

mwa-haha! *descends into laughter* hope the airbags were comfy! i'll stop there guys. cheers for the link bree, still trying to catch up on your shenanigans over there - all sounds good so far! england's ain't that much cop without anacondas, crazy drivers and packed coaches [although we do have a resemblance to that on the tube in the rush hour i guess....!] but obviously that is a whole different world! credit to you guys for taking south america by storm - i'm waiting to hear of the next incident that might make the tabloid trash over here - "deaf backpackers give guerillas taste of their own medicine" by you lot keeping them hostage - the length of emyln's beard on what is meant to be a belgian is enough to intimate anyone! guess i'm kinda going off the point now, take care you guys!

Hey bunch!
Am really sorry about not able to post a message weeks ago as been busy getting ready for Guyana where i am in now!! been here for 3 weeks so far and enjoying it every minute!! Now we are in same continent :) I am settling in new house for a week now and it is really nice house, it is putting us back to 1970s in style of old fashion furniture!! but all are really nice! :D I am living with Ashton, another deaf volunteer and we get on well. The bunch of volunteers here are brilliant as we have been going out together couple of times to bars, pool club etc. Last nite, u will never thought it will happen here in Guyana, a brawl outside the bar which it surely does remind me of England!! lol Am sure that u all have read my message board, that i am already famous here in Guyana!! wikked! :D been on the news twice and in the newspaper twice. cant really think it has happened!! it is good news for the deaf because here, deaf people are not treated well, they are being viewed as mentally retard... am hoping to change that and show that we are not mentally retard.. gotta be a great challenge for me and ashton to change it, we believe we can do it for Guyana deaf people. They are really friendly and welcoming us and are really pleased to see us coming from England to be with them and work with them. We will start work on Monday with CBR... cant really wait to start! :D
I have really enjoy following u all on website and u all deffo have whale of time in South America :D I wanna to do it one day maybe after Guyana but time might let us down but wait and see :D U all have mixed fourtune, still have a fantastic time, it have put my travel in europe in shadow!! lol but still have a great time in europe! :P Keep it up mates and hope u can come to visit me in Guyana before u fly back to England!!
Anyways i better stop writing and u read all the message on my msg board!! in case u forget what it is, http://www.my-journal.info/deafguyana :) visit there and put the msg any time u want to!!

Glad to be in touch through website again - STA people gave me another web address. Anyway we can tell you our news. Back in Spain - will be so hard to get back to normality after such wonderfully long holidays this year. As you see from Reb's message, Barry and Gillian here with all your cousins so that's a real bonus. Reb was out clubbing on Saturday with Megan until the early hours!!! Def taking after you Anthony. And going out again now to celebrate Rachel's terrific results. Sinead thankfully at home with me. Went to Tarifa earlier this week - great day. Emlyn pls don't ask me about the question of the sexes - have just had a text from one of the male members of our family - locked out of our house (in Ireland) and wants me (in Spain) to help sort it out???? Anthony, Rebecca has put one of your fab holiday photos on our desktop so we see you every time our laptop is turned on!! Talking of photos - any more for us to see?? Hope you got the car sorted out. Keep safe all of you and enjoy the rest of your fabulous trip. Lots of love Mum xx

Hello Emlyn and your two friends, thank you for your answer.
You are incredible, thus your two friends! always battered in nature!! You are not any afraid of the risk, of the danger!! You are strong in your spirit!! you knew well to clear up in various situations!! Too much beautiful the adventure!!!!!!!! Very weeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!! When you return to England?
Unrolled well my stays in the south of France "DFCE 3" = Deaf Free Camping Européen 3ème. There are 10 different countries, including 90 people deaf persons! Us, deaf French, We make small animations (activités divers, party, to visit culture pays basque...) to amuse the Foreigners! It is difficult but the deafs are happy !! ouff!
After, I went with my friends, to see Jojo and Jeep in Toulouse. I see Tyron and Anne, anglais deafs!! good knowledge with them, they are very sympas! Jeep will make its studies in danemark for 4 months (shool deaf..). Jeep, explique à Emlyn pour tes études !!!!!! stp !!
For to see english, i can read but i understand not at 100%! Thanks to the translation (internet), I can read all the writings on your site!!I check also my English on my writings to see my English faults! Voilà!!
Good "souvenir" ( mot pas trouver en anglais!) at festival Clin d'oeil in Reims, really super! I see Steve!! Very glad to see it but I didn't spoken a long time with him because there are many things interesting to see inside the room: cinema, theatre....
I also saw Nadia, anglaise deaf, in the North-West of France where there was an international beach-volleyball. We discussed very well!! She lives in France now with her husband! Jean-Claude, rachid, Christophe et cathy, (les belges) they were too !! Well amused and Well laughed together!!!
In short, for two months, I meet many foreign deaf people, my language of the international signs progresses more and more! Enfin, I think it personally!!
Ah bon, are you certain that I can give your site of voyage to my friends (with those which to you know
(connais) them or not?)!
I will inform you if I have information of activities in France okokok!!!
I hope with soon to see you!! and necessary to come to France!
Stop my news!!!!!!!!!!!! Big Kissssssss of mimi, and good travel !!!!
Emlyn's Dad
Just to confirm that we are once more reading you loud and clear as you tackle, head-on, and at the same time, Santiago's traffic and Chile's regulations governing the purchase, export and import of vehicles by foreign passport holders. From Thursday 18th, your website - via 'ourtravels...' etc went off-air. Via Rail Europe, it's back on-line again. Your last post-card - was it Bree's? - left your readers speechless. That, maybe, explains why you ain't had much back-chat. A few new photos wouldn't go amiss - of the national park near Pucon, the quads, the car, the car with its back wheels embedded in the beach, the Santiago Deaf community, the black runs in Valle Nevada, the Santiago Plaza where the pick-pockets/bag thieves hang out..... you'll certainly have to read 'The Gringo Trail' by Mark Mann when you return - if you ain't already read it. Or, better still, write your own sequel to it. Why not?
