Yoohoo guys! We have visited some cities already since arriving in Venezuela. As Anthony described how our jaws dropped when we toured up the City of Caracas. But our jaws dropped even more when we went up north on the Venezuelan coast, Puerto Colombia. The beach is unbelievably beautiful, sooooo white, with palms trees lining up behind the beach, the water so clean, so transparent, and at the perfect temperature! On the side of the beach, there is a beautiful sight of the mountains, all green and beautiful! We hired a sun top, kind of like in the love shack in Celebrity Love Island programme! We enjoyed the huge waves on the beach, but stupid Anthony brought his sun glasses with him in the sea, u all can predict what happened, he lost them when a huge wave hit him! Later, he asked me to lend him mine. What a big mistake I made, I lend him my new beautiful sun glasses, u all obviously can guess what happened next!! What a p**** but who wouldn't expect that from an Irish! I, with my bad history of sun-burns, I intelligently stayed in the shadow most of the time, whereas Bree and Anthony, so desperate for a tan, got themselves, especially their shoulders totally burnt, and now are having huge difficulties carrying their rucksacks! On the way back to Maracay, we took a typical Venezuelan bus, full of Venezuelan people, with no air conditioner for a hour and half! But the loud music and the gorgeous view of the mountains and the lovely Venezuelan weird-looking monkeys made the journey worthwhile! We're now heading for Merida, a popular tourist attraction, popular for extreme sports! It should be really brilliant! Check out our next message to find out what we've been up to in Merida!
