Wow. The only glacier in the world that is in a state of equilibrium rather than receding, as there is enough snow to compensate for the amount of ice that melts. It stands a massive 60m above the water on average, and 5km wide. It's really hard to comprehend its size as you watch pieces of ice breaking off - some look tiny yet the sound they make as they hit the water suggests otherwise.
