Yes I know, how sad it is, but it had to be done. Neighbours is an institute over here, so get over it.
It was a really short trip, all in all it took about 3 hours. We were picked up and taken to the office to pay, then off to the sights of the show. First stop was Erinsborough high. Unfortunately we couldn't go in as it was a proper school, and we didn't want to look like pervs. The guy driving the bus played all the cheesy tunes released by stars of the show. We also got to watch classic episodes like Todds death and Libby + Drews wedding. Get in! WE then went to where the magic happens. Ramsay Street itself! Also known as Pin Oak Court in real life. There is a security gaurd there 24/7 to protect the houses from drunks shouting to get Harold Bishop out in the middle of the night. The residents might get annoyed at that! They are paid to have the fronts and backs of their gardens on the show. Not bad I say. WE got to hear all the gossip for the next year almost, so that was cool.
At the end of the day we got to meet an actor from the show. We were hoping for Carl Kennedey, Harold Bishop or I would have settled for Toadie. We got Max Hoyland in the end (who the tour guide had only told us half an hour before was finishing his last scenes!). We all got autographs and photos too. Here come sthe gripe. My camera is playing up, and it's deleted the picture of me and Merle meeting the guy. Aaaaagghhh! I'll moan about this ibn a few other blogs later. It'll be a running theme for a while.
More to follow. Great Ocean Road is next...(when I have more time)
