Only a 20 minute flight across the South Pacific Ocean, Maui continued where the big island left off, offering awesome beaches, amazing drives, beautiful mountains and lovely new flavours. Highlights (there are many) include; the road to Hana, bamboo rainforests, waterfalls, mountain biking, yoga, sunsets at 14,000 feet, Mars-like craters, local beer, Maui crisps, poke (flavoured raw fish - so good), shave ice, night markets, music, beautiful beaches, sun-burn, awesome snorkelling and plenty of Aloha.
Aaron's tasting notes - I can't think of many better ways to enjoy Maui than with some local beer brewed by Maui brewing company. Highlights include the coconut porter and the big swell IPA.
Aaron's riding notes - mountain biking is just starting to grow in Maui and blazing the trails at a bike park built in a local riders back garden was a blast. The carbon Santa Cruz 5010 only added to the experience.
