We left Caye Caulker pretty early yesterday morning (6am) to get the boat back to the mainland, then caught the chicken bus up to Mexico.That was a bit of an experience in itself, loads of locals on the bus and it was pretty basic seating - mine had hardly any foam left in it so had a bit of a numb bum after 4 hours!! We stayed over night in Bacalar which is just over the boarder and then got up early again today for our trip up to Cancun.

We stopped halfway for a visit to the ruins in Tulum which were pretty amazing, not to much of the actual ruins but the site of it is pretty spectacular perched on a cliff. We saw heaps of iguanas and went down to the beach for a quick paddle - definately a beautiful beach and a good introduction to the Caribbean.

We arrived into Cancun by about 6pm ish, then made our way to the hotel to have some grub. The new tour people start tomorrow so its our last supper as just the 5 of us tonight.
