Our last stop in Australia was Perth, where we were met at the airport by Sophie's Aussie friend Nick, who very kindly let us stay at his house...another palace and certainly the sort of place we weren't used to as it was so nice! We spent the first couple of days with Nick and his girlfriend Sarah, visiting Cottesloe Beach to soak up some rays! We also did what we do best...yes, we hit the local shopping centres, along Sophie and I were very good and didn't buy anything...well ok, we only bought a few very small bits as we can't carry anymore stuff! Nick took us to the local bar to spend the night with some Aussies, which was a good laugh.

For the next couple of days we decided to go to Freemantle. Here we visited the famous prison which was a great day out - really interesting, and topped Alcatraz!! We got the free bus around the town and did a bit of exploring. We also met some really nice girls in our dorm room and travelled back with them to Perth for our final few days :-(

Yes, yert again, we spent our time shopping, but were very well behaved...well some more than others let's just say! But the highlight of these last couple of days was the Perth Mint, where we got to watch them pouring gold into bullion moulds! We also spent a day in King's Park, where we saw fantastic views of the city...and Sophie got a fantastic view of a Frenchman, who we met up with later on in the evening for our last night in Perth :-)

We were so so so sad to leave Australia as we've had such an amazing time - the best two and a half months ever!! But it's onwards and upwards to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Thailand, where we'll update you on soon!! We're back with Sophie's brother Nathan (or her boyfriend as everyone keeps thinking!!!) now and in Kuala Lumpur at the moment on the eve of my birthday - should be one to remember!!!
