Well this is it, my trip has sadly almost come to an end so this will be my final blog entry but im certianly writing this one in style, with a glass of red wine overlooking the city harbour in HK........

After a 5 hour wait at Bangkok airport we finally got our flight to HK where we arrived at one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed in. Luckily for us they also upgraded us to a premier suite with 2 bathrooms, a huge lounge area and a lovey bedroom. Also we overlook the harbour and city skyline, its amazing- we are in heaven!! They obviously felt sorry for us when we checked in looking rather worse for wear after having only 3 hours sleep and a 16 hour day.

Yesterday we explored the city and went to Statue Square and saw the HSBC, Lippo Towers and Bank of China buildings. We also went for a wander around Causeway Bay Market, HK Park and Aviary and then went up on the Peak Tram to see the stunnung views of the city. After much sweating in the scorching heat (just found out it was the hottest day of the year here- 38c) we ventured to our rooftop swimming pool and jacuzzi to cool off and relax. Last night we went over to check out the sights and restaurants in Kowloon before heading to yet another market.

Today, our last day here, we have spent the last few hours chilling in the pool and this afternoon we are heading over to Central Market and Soho and this evening we are having a reunion with Sue and Marilyn and going for drinks and dinner in Lan Kwai Fong, which will be fun.

What can i say this has been one hell of a trip and by far the best 8 months of my life. Ive met amazing people around the world (many free holidays for me ;) ), seen 14 different countries, had great experiences, ones which stand out the most, skydiving, glacier hiking, climbing an active volcano and Ayres Rock and had continous sunshine, oh apart from about 8 days. (Jo is sitting here laughing at this last comment). Last of all, huge thanks to Erin, Nath, Jo, Sue and Marilyn for making this trip what it was.

Cant wait to see you all when i get back. However if the sun is not shinning, then im off back to Oz. lol
