From Ko Chang we then travelled to Siem Riep in Cambodia. Here, we went to see the sunset and sunrise over Angkor Wat which was amazing. The temples are outstanding and i can see why it is such a talked about place. The day we went to see the sunrise and all the temples it was over 40c so unfortuantely we only lasted till 12, after getting up at 4am! But even so we got to see all the main temples and had a great experience here.

We also spent a day exploring the city and relaxing by our guesthouse pool- the temperature did not drop below 40c during our 5 days here, so as you can imagine Nath and I were lapping up the sun!

After Siem Riep we then went down to Phnom Penh, where we visited the S21 prison, the Killing Fields and the Royal Palace. As you can imagine it was very moving and depressing but at the same time very interesting.

After here we travelled 9 hours to Sikhnoukville which is by the coast, hoping to relax on the beach...no such luck, it rained for 3 solid days. Luckily we met lots of cool people so ended up spending all of our time in a bar eating and drinking. After 3 days we had had enough of the rain and decided to leave Cambodia and head to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam in search of some sunshine. lol All in all, we really liked Siem Riep, Phnom Penh as a place we didnt like- far too dirty and yes the bar in Sikhnoukville was a good laugh and worth the visit.lol
