Hello all, another update is needed after a week. I would just like to start my blog by congratulating James and Donna on the new little arrival Lottie, I hope you have a whole day cleared for when I get back as I want lots of cuddles all to myself lol!!! Hope you are both well and she is healthy, hope I can see her and the little ones on skype soon.
So I have been in Vietnam for the last week and have fallen in love with some of the scenery. I am still travelling with Irish gang and have also joined up with a few others. We arrived in Hanoi which was a tad too much for me, too noisy, unfriendly, dirty and traffic which if your not careful could easily kill you! From there we took a 3 day cruise around Hay Long Bay, which has been the best part of my trip so far. It was stunning and the photos (when I upload them) do not do it enough justice. On our cruise we kayaked around the floating village which was quite incredible seeing how the families live in the middle of the bay with nothing around them other than sea. We went to a cave where I bumped into the two girls I was travelling with in Chiang Mai, small world! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the boat and then finished the night away with Karoke, hilarious! The following day we went to a national park island which we cycled around and then visited a cave which was a hide out hospital for the Vietnam army. We sailed along to a deserted island where we enjoyed sunbathing over looking hay long bay (not trying to make you jealous).
We visited Hue where we saw a tomb and the old town and then from there we did the 'Top gear' motor bike trip down to Hoi an. It was by far the best adventurous part of my trip. I teamed up with Andrea and we took turns motorbiking for 6-7 hours to the next town. I biked round some mountains where we saw breathtaking views, it was surprisingly easy and enjoyable going round twisiting roads! (Don't worry I wore a helmet). I have been in Hoi an for the last 3 days and leaving tonight to Na trang (Vietnam's beach resort). Hoi an is a sweet town and has so many tailors Bond Street is put to shame. Of course I had to spend some money getting things tailored made, it's amazing what they can do, Daisy you would love it.
I am looking forward to seeing more culture of the country in Saigon and Dalat before I head to Cambodia. I just hope the floods have cleared and the weather brightens up a little as I have experienced alot of rain and cloud recently. I hope you are all well and home isn't too cold.
Sending lots of Love xxx
