Well everyone we've got a lot to tell you so going to break it up into days so we don't bore you with a huge essay!............But before we start, although they were amusing at first the snow/weather in England jokes are getting a tad old now so we're looking forward to something a little more original. (We are appreciating all messages though - missing you all loads!)
Happy Birthday Barb for today (Saturday)!! hope you have a great day, we're thinking of you. x
Tuesday 6th:
Soph had to wake Em up in the middle of the night as a toilet trip was needed and it's a bit of a trek to the toilet which is situated outdoors! luckily (thanks to the Loughborough gang) we had a torch handy so Em led the way into the field in the pitch black with nothing around us for miles! The memories of all those horror films suddenly came flooding back!
After seeing the town yesterday, which reminded us of something from fifel goes west (not sure how many of you have seen that film!) we stayed in on the farm. We had a tour of the farm on the Ute from Lest, He showed us the sheep shearing shed which was quite interesting.
A slightly more exciting experience of the day was when Lest let us drive the Ute around the farm. Soph started off boy racing around the empty paddocks, the idea of having nothing to crash into was very appealing for her. Em then took over and as it was her first ever experience behind a wheel soph was gripping on tightly but everyone survived with no scratches.
Lest later showed us on another tour of the town and where all the old buildings were including a hospital, school, church, shops and tennis courts but because so few people live here (less than 1,000) they have all been knocked down.
Also breaking news..........we've seen our first Kangaroos! one had a joey in its' pouch which was very cute.
