hello.

From railay we got a ferry back to Koh phi phi for a few days. This time we decided not to book accomodation in advance but just to bowl up and see what there was. this was a good plan as we ended up in 'the orange tree' right in the heart of koh phi phi, close to the beach and which aircon!the first day we just soaked up the sun on the beach and went to the fire show which seems to be a daily occurance in the evening.
The next day we had booked a half day snorkeling trip. this picked us at 9 and took us to the other island of koh phiphi leh where 'the beach' was filmed. the boat stopped ina few places to allow us to snorkel. this was possibly one of the best experiences so far of the trip we saw coral reefs and many tropical fish, we both decided to do this again in fiji. on the way back to the pier the boat stopped at monkey beach which was alive with lots of monkeys. this idiot thai woman was being a right t*** teasing the monkeys so it did make me very happy when a gang on monkeys decided to attack her, making her cry the whole way back to the pier. haha. the rest of the day it decided to rain so after a few hours of beaching it, bars and shopping we hired a dvd player, bought some dvd's for all of 50p and watched some shrek.
the last day on phi phi was yet another day on the beach and some fire activities in the evening. we have both decided to take up fire throwing when we get home.
we had to get the only ferry at 9 in the morning back to phuket, surprisingly enough this was empty. from phuket we flew back to bangkok and am currently staying in toms recommended hostel Lub D which is really funky. this is a relatively short blog but we will put some photos up instead. we are off to new zealand the day after tomorrow so will blog when we r there.
