Emma and Martin's Travels
Crikey folks how r ya!
What do u think of the new photos? Australia zoo was pretty awesome - we were really happy we got to c Steve Irwin the Croc hunter - him and his wife did the croc show which was really cool - as u can imagine Martin was extremely excited about it all - just like a wee kid aw! We video taped the croc show so u'l get to c it when we get home (which is only in 3 months!). As u can c from the photos we got to feed kangaroos and wallabys (Elaine i think the difference between the 2 is that wallabys are smaller and cuter - roo's r pretty cute too tho). We also got to pat a koala called bruno - they're also v cute and they sleep for 19hrs a day - Martin thinks that would b pretty sick mate (that means good in Oz).
Martin and Gordon enjoyed trying to surf the other weekend - they were so confident beforehand that they'd b cutting up some big waves within about 10mins so it was really funny to watch them wipe-out over and over on the wee baby waves - they didn't manage to stand up at all! Martin believes he just wasn't put on this earth to surf - again we have this on video tape for u to have a laugh at. Martin claims that he was nearly eaten by a great white shark but he bravely kicked it in the head and it swam away - not sure thats quite true tho!
Ur probably wondering what the photos of the rock swap r about but we really did go to an annual rock swap event. It was at Warwick which is a small country town where Petie's aunt stays and people go there to buy rocks - quite a strange event but i think its the only time in my life i'l go to a rock swap so had to get a photo- i bought Martin a pet rock which he's named Bruce.
We both finished our work yesterday and we're getting the bus down to Sydney tonight. We leave at 8.30pm and get there tmrw at 1.45pm. We've enjoyed our time in Brisbane but r both looking forward to travelling again. We're in Sydney untill Sunday(10th), we're then in NZ for 3 wks (2 wks south island and 1 wk north island), we then go to Fiji for 10 days on April 30th, then finally onto America. We fly back into London on the 9th July.
Well we're gonna have tea before we head off now so better go
Lots of Love
