Hey folks Thought i'd put a wee postcard on the website as haven't in a while and the messages have dried up a bit. We're planning to stay in Brisbane for the next 2 weeks then off on our travels again down to Byron Bay and Sydney. I've been working over the past week at a telesales place where I phone people and try and get them to tell me all about their mortgage, income, car loans, basically all about their finaces which as u can imagine is pretty crappy and nobody wants to talk to me - aw poor me! One guy said to me the other day when i phoned him "my dear i think u r one of the little people in life" and hung up - charming! Hav also worked a few shifts at a cafe but don't think i'l do many more shifts there as the woman who owns the place has taken a disliking to me - she is MEAN and gets me to do some mundane task like folding napkins if i stand still for like a second so i'm constantly running round tring to look busy! Think she's not that nice to everyone when they start so i don't think its me in particular. Oh well its all extra money. Martin just found out that he can start work tmrw doing Gordon's old job (Gordon had to get a new job cause ur only allowed to stay with the same employer for 3 months on ur working visa over here - quite weird). Anyway Martin's gonna b doing some kind of labouring job (not sure what exactly it is - its not on a building site tho) and he has to leave at 6.30am tmrw - haha that'l b a shock to the system for him! We've not beeen doing all that much over the past couple of wks cause been trying to save money but think we mite go to Australia zoo next wkend - its the zoo where Steve Irwin the croc hunter works sometimes - should b good! Its still pretty hot over here most days although did get some rain the other day which was nice - we both still not got a tan tho cause we can't b bothered to sweat out in the heat - think it'l b cooler in NZ. We've been trying to book the next half of our trip in NZ and america - just trying to work out where to go and how to travel about - i'm looking forward to starting the second half of our travels now cause we've been in Oz for a while now.
