Snowchick & Scooby's Travels
Monday 28th January
Daniel woke up bright and early at 7am, along with waking Lisa up to prepare for the morning walk in the National Park. We decided to go for a walk in the early morning so we could enjoy the walk without having to battle the heat!
We setted off on our walk at 8.30am. Once we got to the National Park, we briefly looked at the information board about each different types of walks, We chosen the relaxing one but unfortunately the walk should take us at least 6 hours return!! So we thought we better make a start!
It was a easy track and plenty of breathtaking views to enjoy on our walk too. Surprisely for us, it wasn't a difficult walk which was probably a good thing for our knee injuries! It took us at least 3 hours to complete the walk, completing around 8kms. In the national park, they says that we could try and spot Koalas but unfortunately we didn't come across to any, which was very disappointing for us! We came out of the park just before noon, and we thought to return back to the hostel to rest for a bit and to have our lunch.
Unfortunately no rest for the wicked as we still had to walk to the supermarket which was 1km away with steep hill climb! We had to get supplies, ready for our picnic for Australia Zoo tomorrow.
On our return, we got changed, ready for the beach for a couple of hours as the weather have eased up bit on the high temperature.
We managed to find a good spot, away from the crowd. While Lisa was sunbathing, Daniel was playing in the sea, fighting with the waves as usual. He usually find the sea relaxing and cooling him down obviously! We were only there for under 2 hours before we came back to the hostel.
Had showers, dinners and played games of cards, updating the diary as usual. Australia Zoo tomorrow, we both are really looking forward to it! Let hope we will spot Bindi as we already have met Terry so Bindi is on our list. We are really gutted that we won't be seeing Steve in action with his crocodiles unfortunately.
