Hi all! feeling probably the most chilled out i've been since i started travelling. The cameron highlands are nothing overly special but they just seem so calm,clean, cool - and i got a really good sleep last night. Watched brokeback mountain and enjoyed the scenery (jake and heath, superb). Today i went on a wee tour. I went to a strawberry farm and tasted some malay jam -mmmm! Then went to a flower farm which would have been quite dull if it wasnt for the crazy sculptures that littered the place (knomes, scary looking mem, a shoe house to name a few). i've taken some photies on a disposable camera which i will upload when i get to KL. I also went to a honey farm and the bees were working hard - not very entertaining. Aslo went to a butterfly farm which was kind of interesting. you could hold loads of scary insects (if thats your idea of fun) and you could also take pictures of the butterflies, i nearly stood on one so didn't hang around very long! We then went to one of the biggest tea plantations in malaysia which is owned by a scottish family. The tea smells were a bit overpowering but it was really interesting. Everyone else had crazy tea in the caffeteria but i opted for hot milo (chocolate). We also got to stop at a fruit and veg market and stocked up on some of my favourites, cherry tomatoes. they didn't have any avacados (my most favourite) but i'll let them off. ended the tour at a temple with big golden buddhas - once you've seen over 50 golden buddhas it does get a bit boring though! Went back to read my book and ended up getting a bit carried away with the fruit and had tummy ache for the rest of the afternoon!! A couple (on their honeymoon) I met at the tour today offered me a lift to Kuala lumpur tomorrow which is great. i kind of feel a bit 'wrong' about it because they are on their honeymoon and i'll be invading there loveydovey space but its a free ride i suppose. KL will be full on i think but it's somewhere new and I hear they have a topshop which is sooooo cool. My trousers are all falling off so I think I owe it to the descency of malay culture to buy myself some new clothes!!!!
