Left Bangkok on Asia Air, cheap internet only airline and big sponsors of Man U, so my son Declan will be well pleased with me!

Good flight down to Phuket Island. Then into a taxi which took me the odd 20 miles to Phuket Town. I was intending to then get a boat to Co Phi Phi Island for a few days rest. Unfortunetely I missed the boat by about minutes. Picture me at the end of the pier with the departed boat still in view. Only one thing for it was to book for the 9am boat the following morning and spend the rest of the day/night in Phuket Town.

Place not too touristy, unlike the rest of Phuket, and so found a good hotel that was cheap and spent quite some time on the internet planning my future route and timetable, like booking a flight to Kuala Lumpar in a few days time.

I know when I left I was sort of vague as to my final timetable for coming back to UK/Jersey/IOM - well now its virtually firmed up. If in case your slightly interested, I am going to spend 3 weeks in China, followed by 3/4 weeks in India and so think I will be touching down back in Blighty around the 20th March...thats my birthday, but I am sure all readers of this boring blog know that already! Just waiting for the One World Alliance to confirm the flights..so it could be a few days later.

So 13 weeks done - about 7 to go......20 in all...5 months. Quite a whirlwind world trip.....the way smiffy does things!

Anyhow back to the blog, finished interneting and then once again ate out at a street cafe, food was again excellent and I was just thinking I should have done more of this when I felt something at my feet. theres always a few cats or dogs around, so thought it was one of them....it wasnt. I bent down to have a look to see 2 rats having a go at my flip flops......no not trying them on for size! - having a sniff and thinking of a chew!

Well....I must of sounded like Brittany Spears trying to regain custody of her kids - I let out such a high pitch sound.....I was so embarrased. paid quickly and left the local laughing at the girlie bloke.
