Thursday 15th November - Hello everyone, just a really quick blog note to say that after travelling all day, had to fly via Santiago in Chile because of the One World Alliance partner here is LAN, finally arrived in Rio De Janeiro. Its about 9pm and just got to my small hotel which is right in the centre of Rio in a district called St Theresa.Its a hilly place between sugar loaf mountain and the big statue of Christ. Although at this time of night I cant see anything other than a great view of Central Rio, which from my hotel window looks similar to Canary Wharf.

Have not been blogging for a few days as got a real case of what I can only think was food poisioning in Lima. It literally laid me up for 36 hours and I couldn´t eat anything, well when I tried eating the only thing left to chance was which end it was going to come out of in the next 20 mins if you get my driff. Anyhow enough of the details, luckily enough I have half of Boots the Chemist drug stocks with me and also that I had seen the vast majority of Lima that I wanted to, I had only gone back to make the connecting flight today.

Topper says ¨always see the positives¨ and so at least I have lost 6 pounds in weight!

So, a relatively early night tonight to see if I shake the final bit of this illness off.
