14th may, Frankfurt, Germany

Twas a marathon to get here full of hobos and early morning trains, but be I at my last port of call. Frankfurt is a little wet and would be slightly dull were it not for the wonderousness that is Freddie the German. Okay he nearly murdered me for screwing up my grand arrival and I think he blames me for the rain but I have made up for it by doing him the great honour of doodling on his folders and playing the violin....

So I suppose i am expected to give a conclusion and convey any pearls of
wisdom that I have picked up during eight months on the road. To be honest
though they probably would not be of interest to anyone other than me, so I
won't. except for a couple, and they are

1. Do not worry about seeing as many things as possible, staying in one place
a little longer affords a better balanced view of it
2. IT IS THE PEOPLE more than the places,the good and the not so good.
(germans and americans in Egypt,the French in Hungary and Romania, the
Algerians in prague...:)
3. READ THE TICKET
4. READ IT AGAIN
5. AND AGAIN
6. Always listen to the voices in your head

I wish I wasn't going home whilst simultaneously being overjoyed that I will
be there this time tomorrow. Do not ask me to try and explain this because I
do not know myself.

Maybe this site will stay up for a while, maybe it will be dismantled
tomorrow. All I hope is that is serves as a little reminder about how amazing
the world is and how much there is of it to experience. Happy travelling
