We set off on our day trip early this morning... Fresher than anticipated from the night before!! The crossing to fitzroy was very choppy, and what with my new found travel sickness, made for some entertaining boat banter.... I was feeling a bit "crook" as the captain put it and was sent to sit at the back where it moved less...! Moved less my eye..! But arrival on this isolated island made the crossing worthwhile.... A nice bright and early start with aqua aerobics in the lagoon on the esplanade... We brought the average age down considerably!! Many also had walking aids yet we were the ones incapable and splashing... Lots... And pretty sure we got warned about it!!! Then it was a nice stroll around town and the markets... Then the fruit and veg market, the most beautiful fresh produce which was all up for the tasting... That was brunch sorted! But there were lots of fruit th...

A quiet morning before getting to cairns.... Not. What a bloody hassle getting a shuttle is..! First of all it was 20mins late... Then the guy who turned up was mental....there was no room to breath in the van.... There were about 2 people too many for the space then 12 suitcases too many for the boot (ok that may be a slight exaggeration) but still it was a bit much..! Plane journey was good... The morning started with watching the sunrise over the harbour from the rooftop on the phone to my best boys, joe and tom before taking a stroll down to the harbour to see it in daylight! Just as cool, but not as pretty as last night....And the opera house has been cleaned since my last visit in 2005 you will all be pleased to know..! Ashort bus journey found us at Bondi beach where we were some of the only people in bikinis.... Apparently it is cold here...whate...

So we started out this morning after a less than refreshing sleep.... A combination of snoring man, a guy who tried to tackle my suitcase in the night... Had he have known the size of it, he could have preempted the result of that challenge.... Very noisy hostel sleepers and the fact that every time a noise or disturbance happened, including my bed squeaking, I thought I was in the middle of a 7.4 richter earthquake...
