Today was beach day!! Yay! Took the bus upto palm cove and just layed in the sunshine reading sunbathing and generally relaxing!! Fabulous! Then it was home to get ready for Laura's birthday.... Dressed up smart and went to a balinese restaurant and had the fish of the day... I had some reef fish wrapped in banana skins! Delish.... A quiet drink in pjs which was a complete knocking shop this evening.... I have never seen it like that before do it was quite a shoc...

So the sun was shining and we decided that we were infact going to do an "afternoon" today..... Sunbathing and chilling til 11.30... Where I was approached by a man carrying his belongings in a plastic bag...(insert international sign for a bit mental) who told me I had nice hair and commented on my sunbathing with the odd random comment about the uk government then he was off.... Today started with a sunshine walk to the hospital.... Now about 7.30am it's around 17/18degrees.... We think that this is warm yeah.... Well you try telling that to the local doctors who are complaining about ot being so cold, wearing jumpers and wrapping up in blankets...! Have you heard of such a thing?! Interesting set of morning cases then a free lunch.... Yes I can smell a freebie a mile off!! A bit of a "discussion" with the undergrad staff about my going ...

So a brief placement for today.... Not a great deal going on, and noone hugely keen to take me under their wing, so I shot straight out to the sun.... How exciting.... Today I went out with the flying doctors.... Arrived at the general aviation at 6.15am to be checked in and weighed.... Sat in the waiting room having a cuppa and snacks overlooking the airfield just to the back of cairns airport.... Watching the plane being checked over and refuelled.... Met the captain....
