Hello,

Ok where to start?! Well at the beginning as it is a very good place to start haha! Well firstly we have recovered from our nightmare of a trip to Samui and settled into our hotel which is so good! Yesterday we didnt get up to much just had breakfast and read the papers with a coffee in the morning (very civilised affair!) then to the beach in the afternoon.

But today was a totally different affair!! We booked an island/snorkelling tour to Angthong marine park which is about 68 small islands just about 1 1/2 hours by boat from Samui. We arrived at the first island of Koh Mea Koh in the morning and took a longtail boat from the ferry to the beach. Firstly, we went on a small jungle trek to the look out point over the bays and the stunning views of all the smaller islands, (lots of pics obviously!). Then we made our own way down to the salt water lake which is in the middle of the island, which is surrounded by limestone mountains and lush green jungle (complete with the jungle sounds of rattle snakes etc!!). This was totally breathtaking and we have never seen anything as beautiful. The pics actually look like fake, but I promise we didnt download them off the net!! Then after trekking back down to the beach, sunbathing and swimming in the sea it was back on the ferry (via the longtail again) and off to the next island for lunch.

After lunch, we went snorkelling!! Amazing, even though we didn't really see many fish, but the water was so clear and calm. I cut my toe on the rocks, but I am not meant to tell everyone that as lee says that I am being a hypochondriac because it is tiny (but it was bleeding!) :(

After we had dried ourselves off, we went for another mini jungle trek up jaggy rocks to explore caves!! Afterwards it was time to climb back aboard the ferry to sunbathe until we reached Koh Samui again.

This was our best day so far, as the sights that we have taken in today will live long in the memory. We have truely never experienced anything like this before.

After all the trekking our legs ache, so its just a long lie tomorrow, breakkie and lazing on the beach with cocktails....maybe a thai massage wouldn't go a miss either!! And with the full moon party on Wednesday night I think we will need the rest!
