Hello!
At last! Somewhere in India that we have really enjoyed. Udaipur is beautiful and so much more relaxed than the other parts of India we have been. We arrived by bus at 3.30am rather worse for wear, but at least we managed to get off at the right stop this time! We are staying in a nice, and cheap, hotel overlooking Lake Pichola. Although we havn't done that much here we have just enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the good natured people of the town. Yesterday we did a cooking course. When we arrived at the place where we had booked we were surprised when the man got onto his motorbike and told us to get on too. Although we were fairly worried to start off with, riding on a motorbike with two other people through the bustling streets of Udaipur was not as scary as we thought and actually quite fun. The cooking was definately money well spent and we both can't wait to try out our newly learnt skills.
Somehow, in the 30 degree heat, we have both got colds today and feel a bit groggy. However, tomorrow we are hitting the road to visit Ranakpur and Kumbalgarth where we will see some of the finest temples in all of India. Or so we have been told... Then on Saturday we leave Udaipur and head to Mount Abu, which is the higest peak in Rajasthan. Here, there is lots of treking and it is much cooler because of the altitude.
We are really enjoying our time here and will be sad to leave Udaipur.
