Tag 8, Heimreise/The journey home
Maybe, next rime, when I continue the GR5 path from here, I take an extra day to enjoy some wellness in Spa, a historic bath, with mineral springs tgat were probably already used for healing and recreation purposes by the Romans.
Can't wait to move on on the E2/GR5 - another few days through the Ardennes, followed by Luxembourg, and Lorraine.
Accoring to the book, I hiked t 218 km this time and 443 since Hoek van Holland.
To Schirmeck it is another 550 km. And still a loooong way to Nice.
See you next year somewher here on the E2.

Anca Just finished reading your trip journal. I guess the hardships on the road help you understand that the days that otherwise you would call boring, or even depressing are actually good days. And as you say it is nice to find again this ability to enjoy the little, simple things. So impressive the Eben-ezer tower! It looks like a something coming out of Mordoor. Simona, I was happy to see again our photos from this year. I’ll for sure try to train and join you a bit next year on your hike. Or at least at the spa part😘 Return well home my friend!
