Arriving into Argentina brought us back into civilisation. High buildings, bus stops and flushing toilet roll!! We spent our first day wandering round the town but sadly we arrived during siesta so all the shops were closed - lucky for Simon! The buildings were impressive and the town was clean. The main square was pretty and had a cathedral and few tourist attractions. Tourist arty shops were open so we had a browse before going to the bar district.The second day we planned to do some exploring in the morning before siesta. Unfortunately there was a census taking place so everything was closed again - even the supermarket! Luckily we had cooked enough for two days so didn't have to starve!! We sadly didn't get chance to see the nearby attractions as we were racing south to meet up with some friends so had to catch a bus.
