Simon & Kim's Global Adventure
Cordoba was really sunny and warm. The sky was bright blue and we began to explore. Sadly we had arrived on Sunday so it was like a ghost town. We checked out the main plaza and decided to eat in Argentina's largest all you can eat buffet. For the equivalent of seven pound we munched on fresh fish, meats, olives, pastas, stir-fry, BBQ and a range of deserts! It was fabulous! Both of us were really full but enjoyed every bite! Others around us were celebrating birthdays so we were able to listen to the Spanish version of the song as it played over speakers. With our big bellies we wobbled back to the hostel and rested.
The next day we were eager to get out and see a few places. Sadly the museum we spent half an hour searching or was closed. As are all museums on Mondays! We have no conscious idea of days! The Cathedral was open so we had a little look but we've seen so many that it didn't overly impress either of us. We ended up wandering round the shopping area laughing at knickers with ass padding! Si munched on a giant hotdog topped with chips. As we passed the library there were thirty young adults sat on the floor with black hoods on singing protest songs. Rubbish bags had been thrown over a barrier and a few police officers were about. Although I have no idea what their protest was about I loved listening to their songs which sounded similar to those I heard at the footie match. The songs had a fun tune rather than sounding angry.
We had enough of waiting around and had to meet friend in Buenos Aires so decided to catch the bus the next day.
