we should have done some research on New Zealand, we assumed it was going to be warm. we got off the plane in shorts and t-shirt to discover it was the end of winter in New Zeamd and bloody freezing. we wondered why everyone on the plane from fiji was in jeans and jumper and looking at us weird.

We hired ourselves a mercedes sprinter campervan from Backpackers (cost a fortune) but it was worth it. we had everything we needed - fridge, cooker, toilet, shower, and bed! New Zealand is absolutly beautiful place. Green mountains and bright blue rivers. Such a shame we didn't have the sunshine. New zealnd seems empty some of the roads we drove on we wouldn't see anyone for miles, when we did pass a car or camper the people would wave at you, i found this weird at first - then we carried on the trend! another thing which was good about NZ is the radio stations. they play some amazing stuff, songs i forgot exsisted some real good sing a longs - which is just what we needed on our long journeys.

Queenstown was amazing, i loved it here i didn't want to leave. It is overpriced and full of tourists, but makes a change to everywhere else in NZ. This is where its all happening - you can do any crazy stuff here. We ended up doin the Canyon swing, which is like a bungy, but instead of boinging back up, you swing out! It was petes idea after he booked it i couldn't sleep that night. I am becoming a big woos as i'm getting older. i dont know what i was afraid of, as i had already done a bungy jump?

-Canyon swing the day arrived and i was still scared, i felt sick. there was a group of 6 of us out on the platform. Pete went first the guys got him to do a jump called 'gimp boy goes to hollywood' where they dangled him upside down above the canyon with his arms out! i could see him shaking!!! he done it thou screaming all the way down! the others all went and now it was my turn. I told them i didn't want to do it, but they made me sit in a chair and strapped me in and balanced it backwards over the edge! i couldn't look they made me lean back till i fell off the edge. But oh what a buzz it was amazing as soon as i came back up i wanted another go. pete done a backwrds flip, and i done a pin drop! (i will try and upload the videos on here!)
