Getting there we had a wake up call for 5am and drove to the airport where we said goodbye to our hire car, and jumped on the shuttle bus to the terminal. the guy on the shuttle bus was nice as pie to us till he knew we wouldn't be "tipping" him then he took my bag and chucked it off the bus and slammed the door and gave us a dirty look! our flight was 10am was ok except me and pete couldn't sit next to each other. when we got off the plane we knew we were in vegas cos the airport was full of gambling machines, we bypassed them and got the bus to our hotel.

accomodation we stayed in the hotel where oj simpson had just been busted for armed robbery just 2 days before. gutted we missed all the action. room was ok, not really for the price thou. the casino in the hotel i thought was massive (till we seen the rest). the place was packed, when u book in you have the option to sign up with the hotel for membership where you give your credit card details and they give you a card you can play on the machines with. loads of people have these cards as you can see them in the machine with the neon plastic twirly cord attatched to their belts! crazy. i swear some people would be sat at the same machine 24hrs a day.

wow Vegas what a place, it is so busy. there are just people everywhere. we are walking down the street then all of a sudden you hears loads of cars beeping and realise we are crossing the road, but because there are soo many pedestrians the cars have to wait! along the streets there are loads of guys that stand next to each other "flicking" these cards in your face, they do this all day. the cards are for girls! you would think that they would at least spread out a bit, i mean i didn't want the card off the first guy, why would i take it off the 22nd?

my gambling all in all i won $30 on a slot machine. to be honest i was getting a bit bored because i kept winning then loosing my money then winning. i just wanted it to be over so i just pressed collect. You dont get paid in cash but with a printed ticket with a barcode on so that you can play on other machines, or find the cashier to cash in. I fianally found the cashier and asked to cash in my ticket, when she seen how much it was for she gave me a look to say "only $30"

The grand canyon this has to be one of the best sights i have ever seen! we didn't have much choice of companies to go with for the helecopter ride, as they where fully booked. We went with a company called Maverick, was realy expensive but really posh. The helicopter we were told was worth 2 million dollars! it sat 6 plus the pilot. we were on board with a crazy american couple, and a scottish couple who had just got married by Elvis! we were shown celion deons place which looked lush, then we flew over the Hoover Dam, Wow what a sight - how did they ever manage to build that. it took about an hour to get to the canyon.

we flew up this cliff then all of a sudden we could see for miles over the canyon, what a sight i couldn't get over how deep it was, aparently they say it used to be under water. we flew over for a few more miles then we dropped down and landed inside the canyon were we had champagne lunch! The american guy was giving we panic attacks as he stood on the edge and threw stones, i thought he was goin down. pete wasn't that stupid.

The show we wanted to watch the cirque du soliel at the MGM grand but it wasn't showing that night, or Celion Dion but it was fully booked or the magic show with pamela anderson but booked out to! so we ended up watching a show called Zumanity in Newyork Newyork. We were told it was a bit of a cirque du soliel show. Which it was i suppose but it was also a bit rude, where the women did not wear hardley anything!!! Pete said he enjoyed it! and most of the men were ladyboys!
